Panch Pokhari Trekking

The sacred five ponds – Panch Pokhari – lie at the base of Jugal Himal, southeast of Langtang, at approx. 4100m. It is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists and so far one of the less explored trekking routes, offering fairly untouched nature and village life.
There are different route options. We can start from Chautara (accessed by road from Kathmandu) and trek through terraced fields, scenic villages and diverse landscapes accompanied by marvellous views of the Langtang range, Jugal Himal, Rolwaling range and many other mountains. On the way, we will come across a number of different ethnic groups like Tamang, Sherpa, Gurung, Newars and others, giving you an insight into the different cultures and lifestyles of the various groups.
