Khayer lake Trekking

Khayer Lake (Khayer Tal) lies in the Annapurna region on 4830m and gives you the opportunity to experience the popular Annapurna region in a more off-the-beaten-track way. The lake is sacred to Hindus and the area is the scene of two big festivals every year (March/April and July/August).
March/April is one of the best times to visit, when the rhododendron flowers are in full bloom, covering parts of the mountains in shades of red and pink, against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
There are different route options, we can start the trek at Nayapul, which is also the starting/end point for some of the other treks in the Annapurna region. We will be passing a number of scenic villages on our way, Gurung, Thakali & Magar are the main ethnic groups in the region. Accompanied by excellent mountain views we slowly make our way up to Khayer Lake. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal, Tukuche Peak and Nilgiri are among the many mountains we can see along the way.
