Nepal Visa Information


Visitors to Nepal must hold a valid passport or an equivalent travel document. Tourist visas have to be obtained either from Nepalese Embassies, Consulates or other diplomatic missions abroad or at the immigration offices located at the various entry points (official border crossings and Tribhuban International Airport) in Nepal depending on the visitor's nationality. Please note that some nationalities (e.g. Chinese citizens) are not eligible for visa on arrival and therefore need to apply at a Nepalese Embassy/Consulate or other Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad.
Visa on arrival can now be applied for online. Please check the Nepal Immigration Department website for the latest visa information and online visa applications: www.nepalimmigration.gov.np
