Dhampus Peak Climbing

Dhampus Peak (6012m) is part of the Dhaulagiri range and lies northeast of Dhaulagiri.
There are several ways to reach Dhampus Peak. Although Dhampus base camp can be accessed directly from the Kali Gandaki Valley, unless you have been in high altitude just before this route doesn’t allow enough time for the necessary acclimatisation. We therefore suggest to add it after the Annapurna base camp trek or to the Annapurna circuit or as part of the Dhaulagiri round trip, depending on your time availability and what level of adventure you are seeking.
The view from Dhampus Peak across Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna I, II, III, IV and South, Humchuli, Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak and many more is breath-taking.
The Dhampus Peak climb is non-technical but some experience with crampons and walking on ice and snow is useful.
