Everest Base Camp Trekking

As the most popular trek in Nepal, the Everest base camp trek offers great views on four of the highest mountains in the world - Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Cho Oyu, in the midst of an amazing mountain range. This trek has been popular ever since Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay climbed to the peak of Mt. Everest on May 29th, 1953.

The starting point of the trip is Lukla at 2,800m. During the about 13 days long trek we will pass Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorak Shep, Everest base camp and enjoy the views from Kalapathar which is also the highest point on this trek (around 5550m). Namche Bazaar is one of the most attractive villages in the Khumbu Valley, people call it the gate to Mt. Everest. We will walk through the hills, pine and rhododendron forests, juniper and finally low alpine shrubs. Physically this trek is challenging because of the number of days spent in high altitude areas, with the highest sleeping point at 5161m (Gorak Shep). You will be rewarded with amazing mountain views though.
