Nirekha Peak Climbing

Nirekha Peak (6169m) has not been open to Western climbers as long as some of the other peaks, the first ascent was done in 2003. It lies in the Everest region, close to the Tibetan border and is part of the same mountain chain as the Lobuche peaks. The climb is technically difficult (AD+).
There are several route options, the peak is usually accessed through Gokyo Valley. The climb can also be combined with the Everest base camp trek, e.g. as the return route, and/or via the Renjo-La pass trail to Gokyo Lakes, depending on your wishes and time availability.
From the peak we’ll have superb views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Ama Dablam and many other mountains.
Although part of the route is secured with fixed ropes, the climb is technical and difficult and only experienced climbers should attempt the ascent.
