Annapurna Region Trekking

The Annapurna region Trekking has long been one of the most popular trekking and climbing areas, situated in the central part of Nepal. Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna I (8091m, the world's 10th highest mountain), Himchuli (6441m), Gangapurna (7455m), Annapurna III (7555m), Fishtail (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7925m), Nilgiri (6940m), Tilicho Peak (7134m) and many other lower peaks are part of the Annapurna mountain range. The entire range and surrounding area are protected within the Annapurna Conservation Area (7629sq.km) which is Nepal's first and largest national park area.
The region is home to scenic villages and some of the major ethnic groups like Gurung, Magar, Thakali, Bhotia, and Manangis. Several world-class trekking routes can be found in the Annapurna Conservation Area. Apart from the most popular routes, the Annapurna Circuit, and Annapurna Base Camp trek, there are a number of other options like Jomsom-Muktinath, Sikles, Lamjung, Dhaulagiri, Upper Mustang, Poon hill, Dhampus etc. Whether you are looking for an easy trek or something more challenging and adventurous the Annapurna region offers a range of possibilities from hiking in the lower hills up to high altitude trekking and climbing. There is something for everyone and a number of routes are suitable for children or people who are concerned about their fitness level or altitude.
